1. Coaching Experience
JC Soccer coaches have playing and coaching experience. Coaches are encouraged to pursue US Soccer training and licensure to further their education and develop their coaching prowess. They know the game and love to pass on their knowledge.
2. Consistency of Rules and Referees
JC Soccer Club plays by the rules laid down by FIFA, the same organization that oversees international soccer at the highest levels, including the Olympics and the World Cup. Our referees are certified by Washington Youth Soccer to know these rules and enforce them consistently. Kids in our club learn the rules of the game, which apply to them the same way they apply to players all over the world. It provides stability and limits confusion and frustration in younger players new to the sport.
3. Solid Skills Base
JC Soccer Club values fun and learning, and believes that the two can and should go together seamlessly. Club soccer focuses on skill building and player development over time, creating a solid base for kids when they’re ready to move forward into select-level and high school play.
4. Everyone Plays
JC Soccer Club is a recreational club and has an “everyone plays” policy. This means that if a child is on the roster and at a game he or she will play at least one half, whether a star player or a complete beginner.
5. Not Everyone Wins
Joy and disappointment are a part of life. Playing club soccer allows kids to learn to win and lose with dignity and grace. They’ll see hard work pay off and they’ll experience heartbreak, and they’ll learn to work their way through both.
